Right now, this site has several things going on.

There's a Wiki that's based on the same code that runs WikiPedia that we can use to maintain a single collaborative document about what we're doing.

There's a fairly traditional threaded discussion area where people can start conversations, comment on posts and like that.

There's a committee calendar to keep track of meetings.

And there are RSS feeds for this stuff (except the Wiki).

Parts of this site are restricted to committee members for posting, but right now the whole site is visible to all. You have to register in order to be able to post anything in the open discussion areas.

Clicking the "register" link on the left sidebar should take you through a registration process that automatically registers you and sends you an email to validate your registration. If things don't seem to be happening, send me a note throught the "Contact Us" menu and I'll set things straight.

The St Paul legal folks want you to know that this is completely unofficial, doesn't reflect St Paul policy, etc. etc.

This is a site to discuss broadband infrastructure, especially as it applies to the City of St Paul, which is where we committee types are focused. But if there are things in the Wider World that you think we should be aware of, by all means post them here. We're really interested in finding out what people are doing and thinking in other places so we don't reinvent the wheel.
